Tassar Silk Cocoon

Wild‑gathered Tussah Silk Cocoons in cut form, partially with peduncle. Each 100g contains approx. 55–60 cocoons. Available in packs of 250g, 500g, 1kg, or 2kg. Worms are removed before dispatch for smooth customs clearance.

These cocoons are ideal for hand‑spinning and silk crafts. To prepare, degum by simmering in water with soda ash, rinse, dry, and fluff before spinning into yarn. Please note: peduncles are delicate and may detach during shipping, so cocoons will arrive partially with peduncle.

Important - DO NOT allow the water to boil as the cocoons may become tangled. Also, add more water as needed.
Next, gently rinse the cocoons until the water runs clear. Stretch the cocoons out and allow them to dry. Once the cocoons are dry you should be able to pull the strands apart and fluff them. If this is not happening, then repeat the degumming process.
Once fluffed you can spin the fluff into yarn.

Note1: This listing is with peduncle, since peduncle are very delicate so there are huge chance that the pedencule get off from the cocoon during Shipping. And during multiple Shipping process it get off. So there are very few left with peduncle.

The cocoon which will be shipped will be partially with peduncle.

Note2: Since there will be dead worm inside each cocoon which need to be removed before despatch. Else it would create problem for custom clearance.
