To prepare, degum by simmering in water with soda ash, rinse, dry, and fluff before spinning into yarn. Please note: peduncles are delicate and may detach during shipping, so cocoons will arrive partially with peduncle.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eImportant - DO NOT allow the water to boil as the cocoons may become tangled. Also, add more water as needed.\u003cbr\u003eNext, gently rinse the cocoons until the water runs clear. Stretch the cocoons out and allow them to dry. Once the cocoons are dry you should be able to pull the strands apart and fluff them.
